At Mills, we reward hard work through an array of generous scholarships. Undergraduate first-year students can be awarded up to $14,000 a year in renewable merit scholarships. Undergraduate transfer students can earn up to $10,000 a year in renewable scholarships that factor in demonstrated financial need and academic merit. The Mills financial aid staff works closely with students and their families/support systems to help them qualify for the maximum amount of financial assistance for which they're eligible. For our undergraduates, federal and state education grants like the Pell Grant don’t have to be repaid, so that’s always the first target, followed by need-based scholarships and on-campus work-study opportunities. For our graduate students, many of our programs offer need-based scholarships in addition to assistantship and fellowship opportunities that provide valuable work experience.
